It’s too bad one can only give 5 stars, because Svetlana and Florian’s home really is
worthy of more. First off, the view... one of the most picturesque places I’ve ever
stayed in my life. Second, Svetlana and Florian are super sweet, and truly helped us
feel at home. It’s a 200+ year old farmhouse that has been updated very well for
modern living... kitchen is spacious (with just about everything labeled, making it
super easy to find whatever you need), shower is amazing with plenty of hot water,
beds are extremely comfortable, and both TV and WiFi work well. I would
recommend arriving to the home before dark if possible (especially if it’s your first
time driving there)... their directions were spot on, but those narrow roads beg to be
driven during the day. As for its location compared to Lucerne, it is outside the town
of Emmetten, about 30 minutes from Lucerne city center, and about 20 minutes
away from Alpnachtstad in case your plans include Mt Pilatus. So very centrally
located. All in all, I can’t recommend this place enough... you won’t regret staying
there.
